Hi, I'm Advait. I'm working on Companion to explore hardware, software, and new kinds of interfaces that make AI feel personal. Before that, I memorized my dad's credit card to start a reselling business in high school, built an AI tutor with 2M+ users, worked on wearables at MIT Media Lab, and did YC with Friday, an AI email assistant startup. I grew up in India, Japan, and the United States and have lived in over 15 homes. I did not have much stability, so I spent most of my time chasing my curiosity. I borrowed books from neighbors, learned abacus, earned a black belt in Taekwondo, practiced calligraphy, made art, taught myself piano, and played competitive chess. I spent a year asking for things I expected people to say no to. I ended up modeling in a magazine, giving a commencement speech to 10,000 people, spending a month at Stanford attending lectures, and getting Sam Altman to sign my O1 visa. I call myself a disciple of experience because I learn by doing things, being wrong, and trying again. I'm in San Francisco and love meeting new people, so feel free to reach out.
